My husband and I recently purchased a second home in Vilas, N.C which we bought a hot tub for.  The people at the hot tub store highly recommended Appalachian Electric Co. owned by Quinn Hineman and his wife Debbie due to their many years of experience and knowledge.

Quinn and Debbie were prompt in arriving and explained ahead of time what they were going to do. They even stopped by the day before to assess the job.

Quinn installed an electrical sub panel and did some other electrical work for us. We were very pleased with the timely manner in which they performed the job and the neatness of the installation.

When Quinn was finished, he took the time to go over everything with me to make sure I understood what everything was and what it did.

Working with Quinn and the guys was a very good experience for me, I live 2 hours away from my rental house in Boone and was only able to come up on Fridays and the weekends to work and check on the progress. I had bought a house that was in need of some electrical repair. I met with Quinn at the property and after he evaluated the situation, he suggested we completely rewire the entire house. I was against the idea at 1st, but after he pulled some of the old wiring out he showed me potential fire hazards that would have gone unnoticed by an untrained eye like mine. Not only did he save me money from the potential problems I could have had, but I was able to completely rewire the house for only a little more than I was quoted to patch the problem from another competitor.

Great Customer Service.................Had a problem, made a call, Debbie's pleasant voice on the other end. I told her I had a problem, Debbie said not to worry she would get a hold of Quinn. Quinn pulled a guy on his way to another job, redirected him to my house, he made the repair and was gone. Can't beat that for service.

Quinn worked with the Building Inspectors during my restoration project. This was a big help for me seeing I could not rearrange my schedule to meet them. Quinn meet with them got all the approvals and made it happen.

After calling several electric companies that said they could not do the work I needed done, I called Appalachian Electric. Debbie, the person who answers the phone, was very professional and knowledgeable. I told her what I needed to have done and she told me she would have Quinn call me.
