Appalachian Electric

Appalachian Electric Company
Since 1977

Periodically, I will update our page and let you all know what is happening with us.  So, last evening we went to see "A Star is Born" at the just newly opened Blue Ridge Movie Lounge (contact info, including web site, if on our Recommended Companies page so you can check out what is playing.  We were more comfortable then we have ever been while watching a movie!  My favorite recliner is a rocking recli8ner and that was happily one of the choices for seating!  There is seating for approximately 25 people which is perfect.  We even had wine with our movie - from Thistle Meadow Winery right in Laurel Springs!  If you haven't tried the movie lounge or Thistle Meadow winery, please do so soon!  You'll have a great time!

Now, back to business......
.

Appalachian Electric has moved BUT we are still serving the Ashe, Avery, Watauga, & Wilkes Counties. We are now located in Laurel Springs.  Our property is in northwestern Wilkes County and we actually adjoin the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Sheets Gap Overlook.

Please be patient with us as we make additional changes to our website. We will continue to use the same phone number (828-963-4281) temporarily but in addition to that number our new number is (336-973-8500). Thanks so much for your patience as we make the transition to our new home! God bless & Happy Fall Ya'll!!

Due to the current economic conditions, Appalachian Electric has had to make some changes.  Sad to say, but as of March 2011, we had to lay off our long time employees Junior & Jacob.  As a result of this downsizing, we will no longer be able to commit to large electrical projects. Instead, we will concentrate on smaller wiring endeavors, service work, lightning protection, and such as that. Quinn will do the majority of the electrical work himself unless Debbie, his wife, is needed to assist.

As always, we strive to keep a personal touch in our electrical business. We care about our clients and consider each one a friend. Feel free to call us if you have an electrical need or would just like to bounce an idea off Quinn for his electrical advice. Quinn has been in business for over 30+years so he has seen about every electrical problem you might imagine.  Let him help you resolve any electrical issues you may have. This philosophy is part of what keeps our clients referring us to others. In fact, a large portion of our business has been generated through word of mouth - a great testament to our work ethic and personal service.

So, now, look around your home, condo, or apartment. What can Appalachian Electric do to help you?  Call us at 336-973-8500, Deb's cell at 828-964-8069, or email us at appele@wilkes.net

On one of our recent wiring jobs, Quinn was fortunate enough to have the assistance of Winston the pug! Winston is from Weston FL. Every time it was possible, Winston would sit right up close to Quinn like he was assisting him in the work he was doing! What a hoot!

New Sign

Quinn & Debbie have recently put up their new sign at their property in northwestern Wilkes County. When their property sells in Foscoe they plan to move up to the Wilkes property so they figured it was time to put up a sign there. As you come off the Blue Ridge Parkway just 3 tenths of a mile you will see the sign!

Again, their concentration will be in service work, lightning protection, etc... the smaller job that most large contractors with employees just don't have time for.... "

Our Grandchildren - we actually have 6 grandchildren whom we love & are very proud of!

This is our oldest grandson Brayden who is a senior this year.  He lives in TN and is now in the process of looking at which colleges he'd like to attend.

This is our next to the oldest grandson Gabe who also lives in TN.  He is a junior in high school and this is his truck that he is so proud of!

This is Riley who is Gabe's brother & also lives in TN.  Riley is in 4th grade.

This is Nora (our only granddaughter!) and her brother Harrison.  They live in southeastern NC.

This is our youngest grandson Jameson.  He just started kindergarden this year and is doing great.  Jameson lives in San Antonio.

These are our two new dog-children Dick & Jane - yes, I said Dick & Jane - named after the old readers that our parents used when learning to read in school.  :)  When Sami passed away we were heartbroken..... and after a few months we were fortunate to find someone in VA where we could get puppies.  They arrived in August 2017 and they are absolutely rotten!

Quinn & Debbie visit Derrick & Ana in Del Rio, TX

In early February, Quinn & Debbie flew down to Del Rio, TX to visit with Derrick & Ana. They visited the Alamo in San Antonio on Saturday then visited Lake Amistad on the line between the U.S. & Mexico before going Acuna, Mexico to shop on Sunday. On Monday, the 5th, they celebrated their marriage at the courthouse in Del Rio. What a fantastic trip and one that will never be forgotten!

A Family Visit

On the weekend of July 22nd, our son Daniel, his wife Joyce, and our four year old grandson Gabe came to visit us up at our farm in Glendale Springs, NC. While there, we visited Doughton Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway which is in the background of this picture.
